Novoloop is pioneering the chemical transformation of plastic waste into high-performance chemicals and materials. The company's proprietary process technology, ATOD™ (Accelerated Thermal Oxidative Decomposition), breaks down polyethylene into chemical building blocks. The first product based on Novoloop's ATOD process is Oistre™(OYST-rah), a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) for use in high- performance applications.

Magical Mushroom Company (MMC) has raised £3 million seed round . Company combines agricultural waste with mycelium — the root structure of a mushroom . The result, claims the company, is biodegradable (in 45 days), durable and comparable in price to traditional packaging derived from fossil fuels like polystyrene .

Seabound is developing carbon capture technology for ships. The startup says it can cut carbon emissions by as much as 95%. The tech works by routing exhaust into a container filled with calcium oxide pebbles. Seabound has secured $4.4 million in a seed round led by Lowercarbon Capital.

Victory Farms, an aquaculture startup and farm for tilapia fish, has raised $5 million in new funding. The investment was led by Ed Brakeman, a senior managing director at Bain Capital and Hans den Bieman, founder and ex-CEO of Mowi. This funding will allow the Kenyan-based company to expand its business into Rwanda, DRC and Tanzania.
